3 Ways to Stay Active With a Busy Lifestyle

This Wednesday, September 27th is National Women's Health and Fitness Day. This is a day dedicated to focusing attention on the importance of physical activity and health awareness for all you girl bosses out there. There will be more than 500 groups across the country that will host events at hospitals, health clubs, parks and local health and service organizations.

1. ALWAYS take the stairs.
When given the chance to choose between the elevator or the stairs, always choose STAIRS. Taking the stairs is so good for you, it enables you to get your steps in for the day as well as a nice booty lift. Resist the temptation people, take the stairs!
2. Have a healthy snack on hand at all times.
We know how busy life can get. Somedays, you don't even have time to eat in a given day. If you have a healthy snack like almonds, an apple or even a yogurt to tide you over you will curb those cravings and your day won't include a secret trip to McDonald's.
3. Start your day off right with a HEALTHY breakfast.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and for good reason. It just starts your metabolism and keeps you energized and motivated for the day ahead
4. Stay hydrated.
Drive past the Sodalicous or Swig, resist the urge to swing by the gas station and grab a Rockstar and just drink water. If there is just one of these tips that you listen to, let it be this one. Get in the habit of choosing water and promise your body starts to crave it.
5. For every hour you sit, get up and walk around for 5 minutes.
For all you working babes, sitting in a desk all day can take a toll. For every hour you're sitting, take 5 minutes to get up, walk around, take a bathroom break, take a selfie or take a nap. Just a little reset can make all the different in the world!
