Hey Bb Styled Babes,
Have you ever found yourself annoyed at the fact that you have all these sweaters, cardigans, cute jackets, etc. but you can only wear them four months out of the year. I mean we pay good money for these things and we should be able to wear them more often. So the question here is how do we get the best wear out of what we buy, and how do we style it in the awkward in between season, where one day its 60 degrees and the next its a freaking blizzard outside *cough, cough Utah.
1. Cardigans: basically should be your BFF
So cardigans are something you can wear all seasons. In the winter you can layer them with a tight turtleneck, but in the spring you can wear them with a tank and some distressed denim and in the summer pair it with a tank top or crop and a pair of shorts. This is great to go out for a casual night and comes in handy if it's a little breezy at night.
2. Bomber Jackets: classic and stylish
When it comes to Bombes there are so many different styles and types. Some are made with a thick fabric made to keep you warm, and some are thin and mostly just meant to be stylish. The thinner ones are really the ones you should buy in my opinion. I am always cold no matter what time of the year it is. I like to buy the thinner ones because you can layer them even under coats to show different texture and add depth to your outfit. Bomber Jackets are especially great for transitioning into different seasons. A few different ways you can wear them are with some of your favorite denim and a tee shirt, or for the hotter times of the year you can stick a tank under and wear them with a pair of denim shorts and some high top converse.
3. Scarves: its all about the fabric
One type of scarf coming back into style is the short silk scarf. In the 60's women would tie silk scarves over their heads to keep their hair in place while they were driving. Now in 2018 the trend it to tie it around your hair making it into a ponytail or folding it up and tying a little knot at the top of your hair. Even tying the scarf around your neck is a popular thing to do. How do we use the winter scarves to transition? Well one way is wearing them as an accessory over a light jacket. Just leave the scarf open and drape it over the jacket adding a little more color and a pop to your outfit.
4. Sweaters: in the summer though?
Yes sweaters in the summer. Whether you go swimming at night, are having a fire with friends, or even just hanging out with your guy a sweater is always a great option. Usually the temperature cools down a lot in the evening, so having a sweater is great. If you plan on being gone all day you can style it by tying it around your waist and then putting it on when it starts to cool off.
It's pleasure as always BB Babes! Until next week
